I've been practicing Buti Yoga for about a year now and have absolutely fallen in love with the movement. Angee & Clara are two of my favorite teachers and I loved getting to capture some photos for their yoga portfolios. Both of them are such inspirational, positive teachers - be sure to look for their classes in the Medina area.
Newborn babies (especially little boys named Jacob!) are the sweetest, little things to grace this earth. I love how they scrunch their face in protest one minute but then smile in their sleep the next. And there's really nothing better than getting to spend time with a sweet little boy like this one on a rainy Saturday morning!
This family is one of my favorites! I'm biased though, since I grew up with this beautiful lady who is now the mama of not one, but TWO gorgeous girls! And how sweet is that banner in baby L's nursery?
Having two kids makes me so overly emotional for those who are expecting their second. It's such an amazing experience to see siblings bond. I couldn't wait for this little guy to meet his baby sister - and his parents could not be more genuine and excited. Also, can we talk about how gorgeous those shelves are in the nursery?
These two are just theeeee cutest! They are two of the most animated little girls I've ever met and so fun to shoot. We headed over to the Prayers for Maria sunflower field on the sunniest of days to grab a few shots of these sweet sisters.
Ava is two! And had the sweetest little birthday party to celebrate! Her birthday happens to fall right around Derby time and so the party took place during the big race. How cute were the bubble wand favors for the kids?
Miss Ava was such a lady with her cupcake...requesting a spoon before she would dive in!
...and the party continues! Krista and Matt's reception was held at 78th Street Studios - a really awesome space that doubles as an art gallery. Every detail was perfect - right down to the beer bottles that Krista wrapped in twine to serve as their centerpieces.
I love weddings, but it's hard to be away from my family for such a long day in order to photograph them. But when amazing friends that are like family ask you to make an exception, you don't say no. Krista and Matt's day was just perfect! Krista made the most stunning bride, the ceremony was beautiful and the wedding party had a blast relaxing downtown at Brick and Barrel before the reception started.
Since I focus primarily on small event and lifestyle photography, I've never really had the opportunity to see myself in print! But having a vineyard as a client means I get to see my photography used in all sorts of ways. It's so surreal to see my photographs in action this way!
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...Carli turned one! And had a little bash to celebrate. She's pretty much the most easy-going kid I've ever met and is already chasing after the big kids like it's no big deal. And can we talk about that white canvas tent the kids were playing in? So neat! I think I may have to get one for our sunroom...
I may be eight months pregnant, but I won't turn down a wine client! Especially one like Gooseneck Vineyards (based out of Rhode Island). Not only are their wines affordable, but their Chardonnay tops my list of favorites. This summer shoot was one of my favorites...even if my model canceled last minute and I had to step in myself. A tripod and a husband to click the shutter comes in handy when you're left in a pinch!
It's been mighty quiet around here, but for a good reason! We have another little baby boy who will be making his way into our family and hearts come this April! All sessions will, of course, continue to be edited and delivered on time, but bear with me as I may be a bit slow on updating my website and social media accounts with new content.
It's no secret that I love everything to do with water, the sea, the lake. So when Danielle & Danny wanted a more serene background, we headed right to Huntington Beach in Bay Village for some beautiful lakefront shots. Afterwards we headed down into a little grassy field that is just across the road. Simple and sweet.
Krista and Matt's big day is only a couple weeks away! Looking back through Krista's gorgeous bridal shower at Burntwood Tavern in Rocky River is making more and more excited for Krista and Matt to say "I do!" Krista's mama and mother-in-law did an amazing job with the decor - just stunning. Between the perfect weather, the people, the food and decor, it was just a good, good day.
Everyone loves a good cake smashing and Miss Ava did NOT disappoint at her first birthday party! She devoured her beautiful cupcake from White Flower Bakery and did not share a lick of frosting with anyone. I still can't believe this little girl is already a year old, walking and being her sassy little self!
if you want to know how much i love you, count all the waves in the sea [unknown]
These two love birds are my favorite. Not only are they old family friends of ours, but they are literally the two cutest people in love that I've ever met. We headed down to the Outer Banks for our yearly family vacation. Only Krista didn't know that Matt was also driving down in the middle of the week to pop a very important question on our family's favorite beach...
Little girls dressed in pink, is there anything sweeter? These two little girls were a bundle of fun at their session - the look on the older sister's face when I said she could jump on the bed, just this once? Priceless.
This session also marks the first time I've tried my hand at making flower crowns - they came out so sweet and surprisingly were relatively easy to make! I did opt for fake flowers, so these little girls could enjoy them even after our session.
When it's ten below and the snow is falling, there really is no better way to escape the cold than to spend an afternoon at Burntwood Tavern celebrating a new little one! This shower was one of my favorites (I'm biased though, I helped plan it!), mainly because a hot chocolate bar was involved. Who doesn't love a steamy mug of cocoa with all the fixings?
i do not have a waddle, it's called a pregnancy swag [unknown]
Suzi might be one of the funniest and most adorable pregnant people out there. Her little one is due in March and since Suzi and Jon don't know the gender, their baby shower theme was 'baby it's cold outside'. Which made this wintery Sunday a perfect backdrop for her maternity session. Snowy drifts, icicles hanging from the windows and a light flurry in front of the most perfect barn door.
on the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder, that the stars peeked in to see you, and the night whispered, 'life will never be the same,' because there has never been anyone like you ever in the world. [nancy tillman]
The one thing that never fails to amaze me is how quickly babies change. Even in the matter of a couple weeks, suddenly they seem so grown-up! Luckily I was able to sneak in an at home session with Ava in addition to visiting her in the hospital.
Seeing her cuddled up with her mama and daddy, along with overprotective pup Bailey, was just the sweetest.
